| It will be the future city extension's facade to the River Odiel and its marshlands. The boulevard is 80m wide so that, at low tide, the water will cover the muddy areas in front of the wall that defines it. Half of this width is occupied by islands of stone pine trees that replicate those of the marshlands. Horizontal amoeba-like pergolas cover spaces for open-air theatres next to kiosks. The coloured paving stones mimic the colours of the Riotinto (Red River) Mines. The boulevard shrinks as it approaches the old mineral loading dock to emphasize the importance of the listed steel construction. |
